Wouldn't think the wires are bad since I'm getting spark. Maybe is a ground but can't imagine what changed since it ran. Is the coil grounded internally and/or through the coils wiring? I have a volt meter and both factory manuals. How about a test using the speedometer for any error messages?
man you must be frustrated.
you wanna look for input voltage into the coil. It should be grounded with one of the wires. Could be grounded to the engine tho. Manual should state.
Fuel .......recheck fuel, just cause the line from the tank to the Fuel injection unit has fuel... doesn't mean "your getting fuel". wet plugs will confirm.
Man i'm stumped.

You might want to double-check the coil primary wiring. I believe the white primary goes to the front plug and the pink goes to the rear plug, but you should check your factory manual for wiring colors to be sure. If have fuel and you're getting a good spark, but only burps and pops, then the timing is out, and the only way that moving the coil would change timing would be if you somehow swapped primary wiring.

some times it is the little **** thats gets ya.

if you take the fuel like of off the injector port and then tun it on and prime it does gas shoot out.if you are getting spark it has to be fuel.
there was an issue with the '07 with a bad O ring on the fuel pump maybe there is not enough preasure building up or it is air pressure in the line and not fuel. A small amount of fumes in the cylinders will cause the initial Burb and pop. then its trying to ignite air.
just a thought. If that is the case the O-ring should be covered by HD. SOme assembly line worker may have grabbed the older version and stuck it on the bike.
dunno

Everything seems to check out fine. Off for new plug wires.

Twice above you have said the spark is fine. Why are you now going to buy plug wires? Even if one has gone bad the bike should still fire on one cylinder. Have you checked for any stored diagnostic codes (DTC's)?Originally Posted by mwood00

He means put the screw driver inside the boot where the spark plug would go and lay the screw driver real close to a ground but not touching(1/8 inch away). Crank the bike over you should see a spark jump from the driver to the ground and it should be blue, sometimes orange means weak spark.
