Got my forward controls on my 883L and the new sportster footboards and now it's uncomfortable to ride more than 20-30 mins. Hamstrings bother me, and handle bars seem too far away. Have a mustang solo seat. I really like the way it handles now, seems curves are easier, and my lower legs will no longer be full of bruises from hitting the pegs at stops and such, but long sits aren't good yet. Can I bring the handlebars towards me a few inches? Any suggestions?
can i ask how much seat time you have?
riding more will condition you.
when i take a little ride its over 100 or so miles
are your footboards adjusted right? i dont like mine tilted up,i have mine more flat

I have about 100 miles with the new forward controls/footboards, but almost 4,000 on my sportster. The footboards are tilted and so will get them "flattened" tomorrow. Was thinking I may need a riser on the handlebars? Because now the handlebars seem a bit far.
I do agree with you that more seat time is needed. I'm still training for that muscle memory, feet still go to mid controls, just like when I shoot a new gun.
Thanks for the input. It sure helps me, gives me ideas.
