Default Solo seat recommendations

I am shopping for a solo seat to replace my 2-up that came on my new-to-me 2002 883.

I'll am looking to gain 3 things ... appearance (personal preference of solo versus 2-up), lower seat profile to feel more like a chopper than a standard bike, and to possibly equip with a backrest down the road for longer rides.

By default, I am looking at the 51538-00 that HD offers for $130. But I assume some of the after markets are much better and possibly at the same price point.

Opinions and recommendations?
Pics?

My wife has a Le Pera Bare Bones. I had it "reworked". Aesthetically it's still the same...but MUCH more comfy.

Excellent info.

Have been studying the LePera's.

How about the Corbin Gunslinger? Will I find it to be a lower profile and the type of seat that keeps you sunk in and in place? With it I can add a backrest at any time.

I haven't seen any solo seats for a Sportster that will take a backrest. I have a Danny Gray Weekday Solo and a CC 2-up seat.
I'd suggest you look at CC and LaPera.

FWIW, I have purchased both a Mustang solo 15" and a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady. Both with removable backrests. I plan on testing both and reselling my least favorite. I hate to do trial and error, the expensive way, but I didn't see any way around it.
