Default Kuryakyn Lazer Nodes

Hey All... I have a 09 883 Iron and I just picked up some Kuryakyn Lazer Nodes the other day.. Now, I was reading the information that came along with it and it says that it should not be used on Fuel-Injected Engines.. Now, I dont mean to sound stupid, but does anyone see why I could not use them on my Iron??? Is there any performance or dangerous issues that could arise from me using them??? They are going to look sweet as hell if I can use them... Anyone please chime in with any information.... Thanks

The only problem that I see is the fact that in order to make the light it makes the spark jump from one side of the wire to the other thus causing the spark and making it the pretty blue you are looking at. This may cause a significant loss in spark at the plug because you are losing some of the electricity by making it jump from one wire to another. Now with an electronic bike with efi, the computer reads everything and may read this as a misfire or some type of malfunction. That is just my educated guess.
I would try to contact the company, no matter what it is that you find, let us know for future reference.

Midnight is spot on why. Those Nodes suck on carbed bikes too.

This is the response I got back from them today....

Loren,
The fuel injected models use a special plug wire called suppressor coil wires. These do not accommodate Lazer nodes. By changing the current to the spark plugs we have founds this can trigger engine lights to come on. It is not suggested you use these. Sorry.

I just installed Kuryakyn Lazer Nodes on my 2011 FLSTSE2 CVO 110CI Softtail Convertible. This Harley has EFI, ETC, Keyless Ignition and ABS Brakes. The Kuryakyn Lazer Nodes work great and doesn't affect the electronics on my Bike in any way. If you want to get a set there is a set for sale on ebay search Kuryakyn AMBER Lazer Nodes Harley Davidson & Marlboro Man spark plugs laser...
