I have been looking high and low for a clock for my 1200c, preferably an LCD button I can just velcro tape on somewhere. No one really seems to have something good that is reasonably priced (say $10 for a cheap LCD clock). I won't spend 100 for something chromed out, I just want to know what time it is. A friend has a small button-like lcd on his softtail, but he did not remember where he got it. Any suggestions?
You might check the Formotion clocks that are sold by J&P Cycle.
I was just looking through their "2006 Big Book" on pages 422 - 423 and they have a number of waterproof 'stick on' clocks, and some you can velcro in place.
Here is a link to some of the Formotion "Spot Clocks" that fit just about anywhere.
A clock on the bike isnt a bad idea. In FL it's so sunny here if you wear a watch when you ride, you wind up with that hidious looking watch tan. Looks real dorky....lol. Try Walmart or Kmart. Im sure they would have something in their stores that you could velcro or suction to your bike.
Mounted my clock right on the speedo with double tape it came with (tried a bunch of other locations before settling on this one). Better yet, the clock is a Formotion clone - I got it at the Discovery Channel store at the mall for 10 bucks. Nice piece (Citizen movement, white face, chrome bezel). Love it!
Thats a great mounting location AZ. It almost looks as if the MoCo should have designed a speedo with a tach in the middle like that. Would have been sweet looking....Great idea....Might order one of those formations for myself...In black...Would take care of my watch tan problems....lol
