Nice looking bell. Did someone give it to you, or did you get it for yourself?
Based on original legend, the magic of the bell only works right if it is given to you. I always have a couple of bells on hand that I keep to give friends when they get a new bike.
This is the first time I have heard it called a freedom bell. We always knew them as Guardian Bells, and they were usually just a small bronze or brass bell. Now I see them in all kinds of metals, with all kinds of designs. Guess it's just more commericalization.
They are supposed to keep gremlins off of your bike. I don't much believe in such things, but I do love legend and tradition.

Yes a friend gave it to me. I not sure what they are called though, All i know is that the booklet that came with it called it a freedom bell. I am learning more and more things about being a harley owner everyday.
