I have never seen one with the Corps emblem. I would like one like that for my HD curio case. It is too pretty to put on the bike and get messed up unless you put it high. Tradition says it should be on a real low place on the bike, which means it is going to get hit with debris and grime.

My wife gave me a police officer silver bell that was too pretty to mount down low, so I put it on the handlebar, and mounted my plain brass bell on the right floorboard mount.

If you look real close at my sig pic, you can see it. It's attached to the left side, driver's floorboard forward bracket where it attaches to the frame.

I was thinking the same thing. I may mount it some where high on the bike myself. I will ask my friend where he purchased it from and post it back here tommorow. If you have a photo of the police officer one I would love to see it. Be safe.

If you mount it high, it won't throw the gremlins on the pavement so you can run over them. They'll fall on your bike and you'll have all kinds of problems with it. Just warning you.

It varies by mfg. Cost varies greatly too.

Nice explaination. But with his attitude, he wouldn't have to worry about stuffing my bell with silicon, because it would not be in his "I'm a better biker than you" shop to start with.

No matter which legend you want to buy into, and there are a lot of them out there, the bell being given by a friend is a nice gesture, and having one on a bike doesn't make you a poser, an idiot or any number of other things that the so called "Old School" bikers want to call you.

I have been riding since my first Cushman Motor Scooter in 1960, so I am probably out of the poser or wanabee catagory, and I like having my bell.

Mine is mounted on my left floorboard as well. No picture, but it says "Army" on one side and has a tank on the other. I used a real thick black zip tie to attach it.
