I likethe way it looks, would consider doing it to my roadster to cleanup the topside...but don't want to have anymore trouble seeing whats behind me than I do now...
Well on the Iron its the only way to see behind you as the view in the stock postion is of your elbows. Not sure about a 1200 but it was like night and day for me and if its half of that for you then it woth it.IMO
I am trying it on my Nightster but I'll be honest, I am having trouble seeing anything other than the roadway. Can't seem to get them adjusted high enough. Love the look though.

jus loosen ur lever clamps and switch housings and rotate so u can see better.
