Dead sporty. Thoughts?

Dead sporty. Thoughts?

So The wife jsut told me her bike died last night on the way home. It had power and clicked but then would not click after she hit the starter once. I am assuming it is either a fuse or loose battery cable. It's too dark to work on it yet at 6am. Any other thoughts?

Seeing as we jsut took a 700 mile trip I am betting on the battery cable.

When she hit the starter did everything shut off?

I'm with you on the battery cable. Especially if the above happened.

She said it clicked, and then there was a pop. Sounds like a fuse from that explanation.

When my cable was loose it kind of made a pop as I hit the starter button then it shut down. Just sayin'.

Fuse or battery cable, both pretty easy to solve regardless.....hope that's what it is.

Loose battery cable was the cause. It was an easy fix. Too bad I had not taught her what to look for yet. Good thing we had triple a motorcycle towing. These cables come loose quite often. I gotta check them once a month now.
