keep it up man, really glad ya took all that tape off the frame and tucked those wires the right way. bike is commin right along, hell i'm sure the fork brace doesn't do anythin but it doesn't look bad IMO
Bike looks good but I just don't get the tank lift thing and the belt guard removal.
doesnt make sense to me that HD's are 90% metal and this big hunk of plastic thats sole reason for being there is to cover wires that fit oh so nicely under the tank! belt guards being taken off i have no good answer for other than it looks cool.
I see what you're doing with thoes fender brackets, and in fact about a year ago there was another Nightster that did something like that but with a different style bracket, only his was claimed to reduce highspeed wobble/turbulance whatever.
But check this, I do know that you may be on to something with thoes brackets, however the problem is that there aren't enough matching pieces on the bike to replicate the raw metal look of thoes brackets, so that's why it's contrasting so much with the locals here
If some parts on the bike can be replaced with the matching raw metal and a good hole pattern than that would start to look pretty sick. I've seen some raw looking pipes with little shield pieces that are in that style, etc,etc
So unles you just spray these suckers with black color or spread the similar joy around than you may have a lot of bad reviews on them.
Maybe a stupid question, but.......why not just remove the reflectors?? That is easier than hiding them, isn't it?
Oh yea, I still vote to get rid of the braces. LOL The idea of chopping the fender down to a small fender though, sounds good.
Man thos rear Reflectors are a PITA to remove so I'm going to wait till I have to take off my Back Wheel/Tire to replace Tire and then take them off but until then they got painted black lol Just fake it till I make it
Well heres what I did so far and still in the process off Fab'n a Coil/Ignition Bracket
First here is a picture of both Belt Guards removed, they were Fugly
I took the Sproket cover off and put a Dizzy thing there, Crazy
I lifted the Tank 2'' for a raked look and removed the Ignition/Coil Harness
I removed the Front Fender and made a Bracket for a little Sturdiness
Some Willie G Skulls for ya!!!!!
12'' Mini Apes and Blacked out Signals, gettin 16'' in a little bit
Painted the Stock Air Filter Cover Black, about to Paint Engine as well
And thats it for now....I got some Black Hookers pipes in the mail and a Phantom Pad for the Female. I'll post some more pics when I Cut,Stretch or Fabricate some more
sorry, but it's not for me. The fender bracket looks like it was made with strapping metal. I'd at the very least paint it black. personally I think the front fender looks good and it has functionality. I also like the front sprocket cover better on than off. I'm not a fan of tank lifts either but again...it's all personal choice, so my opinion really is of no concern! Ride it how ya like it.
