It's at 800 miles, and I've changed engine and primary oil, and adjusted the primary chain. Planning on going back in to check/adjust the clutch and cable.
Any other XR owners here? Any tips on what else to look at early on these Sportys? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
When ever you wish to look at other things such as upgrading your front forks to either a good adjustable cartridge system used in the Spanish Race series, or how about a pair of Road & Track Ohlins forks? All of the modifications are done to either; use the OEM triple trees or our full race series trees.

The good news it that all components can work on all Sportsters and Dyna's with some exceptions. That is right, Radial Mount Brembos (either 11.5" or 320 mm rotors) on a Harley! All of the work is taken out of this conversion by us and are direct bolt on.
I have one and it is a real fun bike to ride. Great brakes for a Harley and very stable on the Highway too! I enjoy the mountain roads much better on this bike than some of my other bikes. It gets its fair share of attention too! Welcome to the HDForum from sunny Southern California and ride safe out there!
I talked to a guy at a gas station that had one and the only bad thing he had to say was that the tires wore out a lot quicker than the standard sportster tires he had on his older one. They are a high performance radial so they will wear quicker and that bike begs to be ridden hard. It looks like a great ride and I hope you enjoy yours. Happy hunting. I'm sure you'll suprise a lot of people with it.
