It is the same jack. I guess maybe it is a regional price thing. I see that jack priced at $59 several times a year, and I don't go to Sears, or read their sales information very often.

Default lift for shocks?

Just a heads up, you wont need a lift to replace shocks, I changed my shocks to licks struts by my self with no lift. Good luck man. +1 on craftsman.

Agree with everyone her Craftman's tools are pretty good and if you dont do it for a living there is no need to get anything better. That said he asked for suggestions on tools he needs, I suggest a god set of stubby wrenches, and if can find racheting-stubbys even better. I also suggest wrapping your rachet handles in some kind of tape, you never intend on hitting your painted parts but it does happen, or maybe that just happens to me.
And yes you will need a lift, there isn't enough clearence to stick an oil pan underneath your bike to do an oil change, dont forget an oil filter wrench.

thanks for suggestions everyone! i have a new set of ratcheting wrenches, a set of torqs, and at least one person telling me that i can change out my rear shocks without a jack. i think i will get one anyway next time i go to the big city (myrtle beach) to the sears store. i'm not sure about the rear shocks, seeing as i won't have a second person helping lift or push the bike up or down...

He's another person telling you that you can change the shocks without a jack.

I have always used my jack to change out shocks, but it could be done almost as easily without a jack.

I found this list on a website some time ago.
It's not 'up to date', but most of the stuff is still needed.
