Hi,
New here, and honestly don't know too much about Harleys. I'm looking to pick up some stuff for my Dad who has an 07 Harley 883XL.
I recently upgraded him from a solo seat to a two up "Badlander" seat from Harley. Now, he's looking for a back rest for him as a driver, and perhaps one for the passenger as well.
I know Corbin has a saddle/back rest combo, but are their any other options? Anyway I can use the Badlander seat that I just got and just add some back rests?
You can add a passenger backrest to the badlander seat. No problems there. You will need side plates, to mount the backrest to. Also if you want a pad on the backrest, those are seperate items. Don't forget passenger footpegs. The 883L does not come stock with passenger pegs.
I don't think you can add a rider backrest with the badlander seat.
I have a rider backrest that I cannot use because I have saddlebags. It came with two brackets that use the middle torx screw on your strut covers. I bought it from www.protac.net and I believe it was $150.00 including shipping. I would let it go for $100 shipped to the lower 48. Let me know if you're interested.
