yeah once in blue moon but true
i used that 1 time cuz my bike was backfiring after years of use, but still rip out the EFI system with all your might then stomp on it,**** on it, sh-t on it then pour fuel all over the POS n set'r ablaze...... or sell it unharmed to some fool on ebay and drop in a mikuni
This is the first bike I have had with EFI and to be honest I love it and would never go back to a carb. Sometimes you have to stop being afraid of technology and move forward
FI is hardly a new concept. Gasoline has all the cleaners in it that you need. I have some pretty old FI vehicles and don't run any cleaners in them ever. They run just fine.
Yes EFI has been around a long while but as far as Harley, and specifically Sportys and Dynas, it is a fairly new concept.
Gasoline doesn't always have all the cleaners in it you need *thinks of my lawnmower that runs on gasoline but was helped by Seafoam*
If you are having problems with a dirty fuel system though I would definately try Seafoam after the experience I had with it.
Oh and about that lawnmower, it ran great all summer long. I love how easy it starts up now too.
I picked up an 04 Custom that had been laid up for a while. I used the Seafoam and actually noticed a difference on the first tank of gas. Your bikes pretty new so your results might not be as dramatic but IMHO you cant go wrong using Seafoam.
I only use Seafoam in my bikes and it's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I use it to stabilize the fuel for winter storage and it also cleans the injectors and the top end out when you use the fuel it is in. I use like 4 oz's or so for each tank, but you can use a bit more if you like. It's like $10 at Autozone an it's worth evry cent. Just make sure you get the one that says fuel and top end cleaner and it a white and red can with a screw on top.
I had my carb apart just yesterday. Been running a tank of Seafoam at every oil change for about the last 30,000 miles. Inside of the carb was clean as a pin.
