I would like hear everyone's opinion on an affordable trailer. I would like to use it when I go on vacation with the whole family so I wouldn't be able to be on the scoot for the drive. I have been looking at the "trailer in a bag" and like it because of what little space it would take up when stored. What do you guys think?
If its just for one bike, one of the pack-away ones makes the most sense. If you can wait a couple of weeks you might want to take a look at the NY bike show. They usually have a couple of different types that you could take a look at.

IMO, the Trailer in a Bag is not suitable for extended highway towing. It's better suited for hauling a broken bike, at non highway speeds, 10 - 50 miles to a repair shop.
If your looking for something that folds and stands up against a garage wall, take a look at Kendon trailers.
I would not transport my bike down the street on one of those trailers in a bag. If I were you rent a appropriate trailer from uhaul when you need one if you dont have room to store a full size trailer. JMO
I use a "toy hauler" type trailer when traveling with the family, bike is secure and clean and once at our destination the bike goes out and two queen size bunk beds lower down for the kids.
Couple of pictures attached from this years Indy, the track was 30 feet from the back of the trailer.
My In-laws bought Me one of those 4x6 Farm & Fleet tilt utility trailers as a gift when I maintained a Museum in Sharpsburg, Md to tow My mowers. After I purchased My bike My F-I-L added 2' to the trailer ( re-located the rear axle ),re did ( reinforced the tounge and hitch ) put in a tire guide in the front and replaced the lighting with LEDs . Flip upramp/gate in the rear that locks. SOB made Me paint it tho after the refab ! LOL LOL .....WVleo
If you think about how much money you have in the bike, why take a chance with a "cheep" trailer or tie downs ?? I like the Kendons, fold up and store in the garage. At rallies, most hotels break ***** about trailer parking, with my Kendon, I fold it up and store it behind the van in one spot. Trailer in the bag use to sell for about 700 or 800..... a good used Kendon single can be had off of ebay for around 1000. What ever trailer you get, buy good tie down straps and check them for cuts and or damage. Hang them up after you use them and make sure they are dry before you put them away. Be Safe JIM
