Default Rear Shocks

I have a 2005 833 low, where I ride the roads are not too good in places and my 50 year old backside is not as young as it used to be. Is there any aftermarket rear shock absorbers available that in your opinion will give a better ride, I'm not worried if the back of the bike is raised up a little if that is what it takes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am sure there are other ideas, but I have seen talk of Road King shocks which I just mentioned to my wife. I will be watching this thread for more ideas because her skinny butt cant last long on the back!

Jerryw618, I was just looking at the progressive 412 shocks on the net, what length shock did you get?

Forget the progressives. Get a pair of the Road King or shorter shocks from the Street Glide and you'll be set. Best set of shocks money can buy. ($150 or less for a set) Like a post said above, it'll ride like a Caddie.

I would also consider Ikon shocks. They have progressive springs and are rebuildable.

If you have a local Ohlins distributor they are worth a look as well. They are very touchy as far as getting them set right that's why I say look for a local shop.

A lot of people are happy with Progressive brand shocks. I run them on my Softail and like them a lot.
