WOW....what kind of idiot would do an engine rebuilt, including cams, and leave the stock air cleaner in place????

I wonder how they even began to adjust the carb after the 1200 conversion???

PS...I have the Wimmer setup on my carbed Sporty as well as on my '04 Road King which is a fuelie. It bolts right on to the Screamin' Eagle Stage I setup.
Sounds good, I have been wanting to get a different air cleaner but just wasn't sure about the rain situation.

I wonder if the guy swaped out the intake before selling and just threw the stock back on to sell it.

Wow, that actually looks like a pretty cheap Stage I/II air cleaner (arlen ness that is). Compared to a similar option:

I really like the look of these small, low profile air cleaners. I wonder though, is the arlen ness a K and N filter? If so, I am almost sold on spending the 200 bucks in tools/parts to make my own. Which would be much cooler. I'm just not 100% on what it looks like (it would be nice to have one to 'reverse-engineer'. Plus not sure exactly which avenue to take for tuning the thing if I make it myself either.

Anyways, let us know what you decide on. For the cost, getting a better air cleaner is going to make your bike run the way it was upgraded to run.

Good hunting

Yes, the AN BS I or II come with a K&N Filter. Oh, and I run it exposed rain or shine with no issue other than some of the filter oil being washed off while riding. I think Freebird made his own rainsock for his BS II out of some spandex & some rain repellent spray.
