The speedo calibration will not change just from doing a 1200 conversion and adding a race tuner or changing the tuning settings in the ECM.

My .02 worth the doo dad from Dakota digital or any other one is kind of a waste of money i changed mine from a 27 tooth pulley to a 29 tooth after the 1200 conversion im of only by 4 mile an hour. But like i said just my .02 cents

you would've thought that since harley sell the conversion kits they would have thought about the speedo...

Well I don't know if it would be affected or not. I'm just pointing out that the software doesn't offer any input on final gearing or wheel revolutions per mile. I have tuners for my car, those options are in it. Just seemed strange that the option is not included. I asked about it on a forum a long time ago, didn't get a definite answer. It's still in the back of my mind though, if I ever decide to do the conversion. I don't really feel like I'm missing anything, the bike still brings a smile to my face...on shorter rides. If the tunes overwrite areas that users don't have access to, and there are quite a few from what I've researched, how will you know? Plus, changing out drive sprockets it a popular mod, it would be nice if you could tweak it to make it right with the tool HD sells. Maybe I'm just over thinking it...
