New Guy with a question

I just bought an 08 Nightster and ordered some vance and hines short shot pipes, If i leave the baffles in do I have to have the ecm remapped. Thanks.

NO. you should only have ot remap if you change the air intake. however, i wouldn't take those baffles out though. the v&h pipes come with std. and quiet baffles and the stds. are plenty loud. you'll lose back pressure and low end torque of you remove those baffles without running torque cones or something.

I've got the short shots on my 09 Nightster. It runs fine with no remap (stock intake) and it's plenty loud.

SHortshots on my '07 1200C. Runs great. And yes, loud enough, but not too loud.

09 sport with staggered short shots... they are PLENTY loud enough and I have a SE deep breather with a remap... very very nice gains from the 3 mods.
