Default Quick question about shocks

I have a 07 1200c, Ride 2 up almost all of the time. would a longer progressive shock help with the bottoming out and make the ride a little better? combined rider wgt is about 375lbs.
thanks for any help in advance,
Allen

Try the correct length with the heavy duty springs. The length does not determine the weight capacity of the shock.

I have 11.5" Progressive shocks on my nighster and when riding two up we weigh in about 350 lbs. I just adjusted the tension so it is the 2nd from the tightest setting. Don't have a problem bottoming out. These are the standard shocks, not the heavy duty ones.

I would recommend getting the air shocks from a touring model. The streetglide or aftermarket lowering shocks won't affect the ride height. But the ride is night and day difference. Put schrader valves in the shocks so you don't have the hoses to worry about trying to hide and you are good to go.

I did this to my roadster. Its AWESOME. I run 5psi when solo and up to 20 with the gf. It is great. I installed them in an hour and its one of the best mods I have done.
