It is GREAT on the highway, a BLAST in the twisties...but if you hit uneven pavement or a bump...it sucks! Keep in mind you have the shortest shocks that they make...and that is when you feel it and KNOW it! Overall...it's a nice bike. I've learned to come up on the pegs when I see a bump coming that I can't get around. The stock seat is a torture devise, so good thing you ordered another (as long as that "other" isn't a Badlander.) The dealer is 120 miles from here and I couldn't WAIT to get off of that stock block. Badlander makes longer rides a little more tolerable...but it is still not going to be a 500 mile day saddle. I'm going to get a Sundowner and pray I can reach the ground with the extra paddling. Don't worry. Overall, you'll love the low. Just get off that seat when ya see a bump coming and you'll be fine!

I agree with letting your legs cushion the blow on bumps.I have an 883 low and it hits hard sometimes.I cranked the rear shocks up two notches and may go another one or two.If I don't cushion the bump blow the bike bottoms out in the front end and the back.I still love my low though because I'm a short legged guy. That rev limiter has got to go thoughi t's embarrassing when I'm trying to go 55 in first gear. But the bike will run and run well.It falls apart at 45-50 in first gear with the current rev limiter. That will change though.i hit 65in second gear.No I don't beat my bike just teaching my wife how thry can run.She has the entire stage one done and I still smoke her ***.She will be there eventually once she gets used to the bike more. She told me I was speeding.I said the hell you say.Not me never would I break the law.Lol.

You do 55 in first gear? Whew. I have a 1200XL and mine is screaming to be shifted at 25 in first!
