help with carb issue
I currently have an 05 883 low with a stock carb # 27731-04 marking. I recently purchased a carb from a 2005 1200 sportster with the same markings. are there any differences in these carbs besides the jetting? I would like to rebuild the carb for a spare. Any help would be appreciated.

You were correct the only difference would be the jets to my knowledge. Perhaps the needles would be different positions but I don't know. That would easy to find out though. Just compare them.

its a good idea to take your time with this one and get a dremel and really polish it up. i do this to all my spare carbs, takes days and its very time consuming but since its a spare.
when its done you can just put the jets from your 883 in it, and attach it to your bike. looks GREAT with a ram air type AC that exposes the carb.
