ok gone threw a few batteries on 07 sporty and i can't figure out what keeps killing them. the last one i put in a week ago now it is dead. any ideaS WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM?
my 06 does the same and i dont know why. its like the battery wont hold a charge for then a week and after i charge it, it will crank the bike about 6 times
As stupid as it may sound, I had the same problem, and in messing with thing I simply turned the negative cable around the other way. No more problem!! Don't ask me why, though!! The only thing that I can think of is that maybe some of the actual wires were exposing themselves in the box and contacting something and causing the battery to run down. I left the bike off of the battery tender for about a month in the garage this winter, then went to start it and it fired right up! Btw...mine is an '06
