This pic thread has barely any pics and a bunch of just general 48 chat. Anyone have any actual pics of one? I want to see some good pics of the headlight/speedo/turn signal area but have yet to find any good pics. Anyone seen any and have a link?
Scarpetta: Let me know how the sounds sys works out... Thats one thing I'd love to ride with
well, it didnt really. the fork bag was just to low. I was able to hear it ok but hitting bumps I was running a risk of smacking the fender so I removed it. It would be great on another bike where mounting locations are better suited for it.
That being said version 2 is in the works. I ordered parts to make my own small black bullet style handlebar mounted speakers. I have seen similar online but for around 500 bucks but I refuse to pay 500 for something that costs maybe 100 bucks to produce. I will find a solution that is small and fits the lines of the bike as well as sounds great and when I do ill let yall know.
As far as photos go, I really only post mods since I assume anyone can walk into HD and see one if they wanted but if anyone wants specific shots just ask id be happy to accommodate requests.
yeah, HD sells it and thanks. I opted for theres thinking the orange would match my tank and it did. After all was said and done it really isnt hard you just have to take your time. alot of sport bikes paint the raised part of the letters but I wanted the insides done so the raised rim was my border. I did get alot on the raised rim trying to get the tips of the letters filled so I just let the paint dry over night and then used 1000 grit sand paper to lightly sand off the raised part. only a few times the paint bled over the raised edges but that was easily fixed with a tooth pick and a steady hand (also after it was dry)
