Default speedometerectomy.lol

want to remove my speedometer on my 04 883. techs are telling me if i remove it it will send a trouble signal and bike might not run....whats the word on the street........

Why remove it? Why not just relocate it? Or go with a Dakota Digital.

It's easy enough to find out, unplug it and see what happens.

true true. gonna tear her down morrow. trying not to get too far into her as i already am working on two other project bikes...and the ol lady is cool bout having a bobber(86 honda rebel on a rigid frame with 16" apes) in the living room she calls it art deco and a track bike(GS500) in the bedroom(she is a keeper!).

not to change the subject but if anyone ever gets a chance to come to daytona beach for bike week or biketoberfest you need to stop at Tropical Tattoos's Bobber Show......bikes from all over the world with 1off parts n fabs. Look At TheHorseBackStreetChoppers...

forgot to update.....unplugged it and it ran just fine.have put more than 20k on her since then.....no more guages....lol....thanks for the input....

You have a 2004 and that is a crabed bike so no PCM so no code to trip. Now if you had an 07 or later that might be true.
