Flash2Pass Question
I searched the forum, and could only find info about using the Flash2Pass system on touring models.
I'm looking at the system, and it suggests tapping the headlamp wire, and putting the transmitter inside the headlamp bucket. Has anyone done this, and how well does it fit? If it fits, I'm buying it asap. I just don't want to spend this money and have to hide the transmitter under the tank. I want it to be as simple as possible.
Thanks for the help.

I did this on my Ultra which I know does not have the same headlight bucket as your bike.
The actual transmitter is relatively small, about 2" x 2" x 1/2". The exact dimensions may be on their web site.
If you do buy it, you may want to consider getting the extra power supply for the receiver. After I got mine, I read the instructions and it said that if your opener does not put out 9+ volts at the wired push button that came with your opener that you would need the power supply. Mine only put out about 3.3v and it did not work. I had to go back and order it too. Measure the voltage at your push button and see what the voltage is or just go ahead and order it too to be safe.
I installed my transmitter by only taking out the headlight and using a wire tie to secure it.
Good luck.

I was interested in this as well so I decided to bump the thread instead of making a new one. I picked up a 2013 1200C and want a garage door opener like this but I cant find any info stating if it fits a sportster headlight or not.
Swap a Fat Boy/Heritage/Deluxe 7" headlight on there.
Oh, I thought it had to be inside the housing. Thanks bro!
Just in case anybody was looking for an answer, I just installed the Flash2Pass transmitter inside the headlight housing on my 2013 Sportster 1200 Custom and it fit without a problem. Works like a charm too!
