Default nightster help

its a 2008 nightster. i got it with 900miles on it. it now has 5900miles. i put 5k and the bike has ran great.. when i got it it had V&H straight shots. the last fews day it started backfiring. so i put new plugs in and the same.. the stealer ship says i need a power commander and 3 hours for tuning for 700.. i just don't understand why the bike out the blue starts to run like this.. i pulled a code tonight of p0134 front oxygen sensor inactive.. what does this mean?

Check ALL of your connections first, before you drop any money. You shouldn't need a FuelPak if all you have is pipes.

I mean check every connection you can find. On the downtube, in front of the side covers are two. My bike did somewhat the same thing, it turns out one of those was loose, the plastic clamp had stretched so it was vibrating loose. Replaced the entire connection, and no problems.

If you are throwing that code that means the oxygen sensor is either done or not hooked up correctly. If yo follow the harness from the sensor you will come to a connector make sure it is hooked up. Also make sure the oxygen sensor isn't loose.
