Default Alternative to frame raking?

I was wondering if there is a way to get 'raked' triple-trees, and if that would work, rather than actually getting the frame lengthened and raked; for a little of that 'Easy-rider' look.

Try here. Some people will say they dont like the looks of the kit but its a great alternative to cutting up the frame.

On some bikes, a "kit" looks OK. But most of the time, it just looks like longer forks, and not much else. But a true frame chop looks much better, and gives you that "Easy Rider" look you asked about. With frame work, you get the stretched and lifted look. And YOU decide how much lift and stretch you want.
And, if money is an issue.....those Sportster kits start at $1899. Then add in labor (probably a minimum of 6 hours shop time), cables (only the brake cable is included), and everything else. My frame rake cost a total of $1800, parts, labor, everything included. And mine was done by an independant bike fab shop. So if money is an issue, a true frame chop is cheaper than those kits. And, in my opinion....looks much better!

I have my '05 raked out with a kit, total cost was 2300 dollars when all was done, after I got my kit installed a local shop opened not far from where I live, he said he could have done the job (cutting/welding) for about 1200 dollars. Had I known that I probably would have done that instead, but all in all, I am happy with my bike.

Well, alright! I appreciate the information - I'll try to find an independant shop in my area in which I can get the work done - anyone know any San Antonio shops?
