Default Tool kit

I am putting together a road tool kit for my 2007 sportster.
The bike didn't come with anything when I bought it.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I want to keep it to a minimum,
do to lack of space. Thanks in advance

Use the search function and you'll find numerous threads on this subject already. Plus it all depends on your storage options and how **** you are to figure out what tools you want to take. Me, I take the cell phone, extra pack of smokes, and cash/credit card.....because if I break down, 99% of the time I'm not going to have the replacement parts.

Cell phone. I have to teach my wife how to hook up the trailer, though.

No matter how many tools you have, chances are you won't have the one you need when something does go wrong. But when I go on long road trips, i'll ussually throw in 2 adjustable wrenchs and a multi-tiped screwdriver and an tire punchure repair kit with a co2 inflation cartridge. Beyond that, a cell phone and credit card are the best tools to have.

And if your planning on going to a bike rally/festival......an old paint can lid comes in handy to put under the kick stand when you park on grass. I can't tell you how many times i've been at rallys and at the end of the night see bikes fallen over because the kick stands sank in the dirt.

Try cruztools. They might already have exactly what you want.

I purchased some small tool bags from Sears. Then I added the tools that I needed which I took some points from this web site. they were put in the saddle bag. Also, I added a air pump.

You could always build one by copying what Harley puts in theirs. That's what I'm trying to do. They don't have a Sportster specific kit but if you make good with the guys a the parts counter they might tell you exactly what comes in the harley kit.
