Hey, has anyone drilled out their stock pipes, buy putting say a 1/2" maybe hole right down the center of each tube? If so what was the results, and sound. I have a 2007 883 custom with fuel injection, and wondered if it would affect it any.
I just read a article in the May addition of American Iron magazine, and they put V&H pipes and a SE intake kit on a 883 with FI and said they did no remapping, because the O2 sensor would recalibrate it, with out any problems. Just looking for some direction!

Look on Youtube-there are a few how too's on stock pipe baffle removal. That mag is wrong-the 2007 ECM will not adjust for the high flow AC and pipes. No just slip on's or opening up your stock pipes some the bike will be ok, bt once you go to a high flow AC and pipes you need a new map. I installed my Martin Bros pipes with the stock air box and filter and I had the HD down load and the bike was still way to lean. I have it done right now and I'm happy.
I say just get a set of Cycle shack slip on's for like $150.00 and be done if all you want to more sound.
