OK i know this is old but with the combination I'm about to descibe how much horsepower could I see in my 08 Nightster?
I'm having 10.5:1 pistons put in and haveing the heads ported and polished. It will have SE 575 cams,SE Rollor lifters and rollor rockers. I'm buying an RB racing LSR 2into1 pipe and a SE tuner. I hope I remembered it all as I have alot to think about on this build. I know its probly not going to happen but I'd like to get 100hp out of this bike someday with the stock displacement. I hope some of you guys that tune bikes will chime in and let me know what kind of tune I'll be needing. Thanks
Turbo isn't what I want not to mention Turbo would be my last choice. Just like a street strip car if i were to go boosted I would do a supercharger setup first. Just my .02 though. Thanks for chiming in though as i love to here different opinions on things like this.

1. you are good for at least 80 hp & torque.
2. For 100 hp you need to talk to NRHS. They have gotten 100hp at 7k rpm with their 1250 kit & other goodies. Most stock bore 1200s get in the 90s for hp.
Yeah I was going to go with an 88ci kit but I decided I wanted to get a Street Glide next year so I didn't want to use up my down payment for the Glide on my Sportster. NRHS said they did a full on stage 3 88ci kit and it cost them $5700 for their cost! I wanted it but it's just to much for me right now! I'll upgrade someday!

I know you said your not interested, but it always makes me cringe when someone says they would do a supercharger over a turbo...
I own a turbo'd car (1987 Dodge Shelby Lancer # 149) and I have to say it is the most fun I have ever had in a vehicle. I bought it for 1500, with a few upgrades I was beating 40,000 dollar mustangs in the 1/4. Did I mention it only has 4 cylinders? Turbo's are easy upgrades if you know what your looking for. You can dig a turbo out of the Junk yard determine if it needs a rebuild or not. have some piping fabbed up, larger injectors, a new tune and voila! low psi and probably 40 + more hp (depending on conditions).. You don't need to buy a brand new 10,000 kit, just do some research and the leg work on your own and you can save 1000's..
They have lag and they are a BITCH to install ESPECIALLY on a custom set up. there's more parts to a turbo and they run off the exhaust witch means more fabrication and more of a PAIN IN THE ***.
Have y'all ever looked into the price for a turbo or supercharger? The in the box price is pretty expensive not including getting it installed and running right.
Turbos are WAY more expensive than S/C. Because they are more complicated and have more parts.
When I had my Mustangs I was going over my options and I couldve gotten into a nice centrifugal or roots type blower for around $3k. A turbo...about $6k...and a ton of labor costs.
