I agree, I have the same problem. Just filled up today and got 49.5 MPH and I have been getting somewhere between 48 and 52 nearly every fill up. I have been using a windshield and I thought on a windy day when the wind was in my face might be the reason I would ever get below 50 MPH. LOL
I must ride like a grandpa too...mine usually goes on around 100. I usually fill up around 120. I have noticed that I get quite a bit better gas mileage since I did the full stage 1. I won't lie, I really don't hotrod mine around.
It seems that bottom line, no matter when the light is coming on, you all can basically go about 100 - 120 miles on a tank. I'm gonna give it a shout. If any of you live in PA, let me know so when I try this and run out of gas I can call you.LOL!!!!
Took mine out today and my light came on around 70 miles. I kept riding until she started sputtering and running almost on fumes. I just made it to a station where I proceeded to put in 2.9 gals. That works out to 37.2 MPG. In the past I've gotten better than that, so I guess it depends on how hard you ride that throttle. From now on I guess I'll be filling up before I hit the 100 mile mark.
No way I could go 100 on a tank if i'm getting about 25 mpg. I'm curious though if people saying they get around 100 are doing highway or open road miles versus those of us who get 50-60. I'm doing stop and go city riding almost exclusively. I'm lucky if i get over 45, and luckier if I go half a mile without having to start and stop 3 times.

My riding is mostly back roads and such...usually 55 and under but stops only every couple of miles.
