Default Next Step for Stage 1 Conversion

I added Cycle Shack Slips on to my '06 883. Now I want to replace the a/c and I guess rejet the carb. Looking for some suggestions. Specifically, if someone has the same pipes on an 883. That will help with all the trial and error especially in the carb rejetting. Since those 3 function pretty much together, I figured if someone already has a great working combo, I could save me from making a mistake. Thanks!!

Hope I can help. I have a stock ac. I added a series of holes to the back plate for more air. I have tried the 46 idle jet but, am now using a 48 because of continued carb coughing. I have the 180 high speed main jet in it (from a stock 170). I have the cycle shack slip-ons. I think I have the right combo now. Plugs are clean. I am getting 54 miles per gallon of gas. The only thing that I notice is that starting is a problem now. I have to use the enrichener sparingly. I'm happy. Ride on friend.

Hey there i also got the cycle shack slash cut slip ons and i bought the jet kit from sorgy'y on ebay it came with a 45 slow jet and a 180 main jet and 4 new 3mm hex screws for $12.94 and a screaming eagle air cleaner kit from dealer. i rejetted with the jet kit, drilled and remove plug from air fuel mixture screw and set it at 2 turns out runs perfect. and i'm using and older type air cleaner cover instead of the new type. she runs sweet.

Bigtop,
Do you have pics of those holes you put in the backplate?

No I don't. Look at the form of the filter. Drill 1/4 inch holes in a sequence on the back plate according to its configuration. Don't drill so many as to weaken the integrity of the plate. Try to do it with some art and form to it so it looks good.
