I'm running Progressive 412 11" rear shocks on my 2006 XL1200C. Got back from an 800km ride last weekend and now my right shock is leaking. I didn't know what it was at first when I saw the oil all over my fender but after closer inspection I saw that the shock absorber was greasy. Have any of you run into this problem?
Anyway, the shock absorbers are past the 1 year warranty offered by Progressive...and there's no rebuild kit for the 412 series...so now I'm stuck with having to shell out some $ for new rear shocks. The problem is that I like the Progressives but I've barely put 17,000km on them so I'm worried this may happen again. I'm short so I need a low rear shock...should I just go with the 412's again or look at something different...maybe Burly...??
