So I've been reading on here folks cutting out thier baffles until they get enough money for whole exhaust system.
I was wondering what it does to the warranty.
So I called the HD service dept and tell the guy that my Harley sounds like a Honda....he laughs.
The guy tells me it will void the warranty on the muffles but nothing else.
He then goes on and explains to me on how to do it. He says you can drill holes or just use a hole saw and cut the whole end off. He tells me that I will probably lose some low end if I cut the whole end off. He says don't worry, most everybody does it until they get the cash for a new exhaust.
I ended up drilling 1/2" hole in the baffles instead of taking it all out....it sounds SO much better.
I just thought it was funny that the dealership would help you out like that.
