Default So, there I was...

... riding into work this morning and felt something hit my left boot. At the time I figured it was something sticking up in the road or whatever. When I came up to a stop light and went to downshift, I noticed I had lost my shift peg. I turned around in a vain attempt to find it, however this effort was fruitless.

Dang! I guess I'll have to pay a visit to the Harley shop on the way home. What a shame.

That just happend to my stwp dad a few weeks ago, but he was at a stop light and went to take off so he got the peg back and put it back on. This is why I check for loose stuff alot of the time.

Loctite is your friend. If it is screwed or bolted on-loctite it. Blue if to be removed, red if staying put.

I rode my 2009 Sportster from the dealer to my house. It was used but only had 25 miles on it. Half way home one of my foot pegs fell off.

At that point I thought I was sold a piece of **** bike. They replaced it for free of course, and even better, replaced it with a nice set of chrome.
