I just put on the 4.5 tank and a new brawler seat, the bike is looking good but I am now a little farther back on the bike. My dh thinks that I should put on some pull back risers. I see some 4 inch with a 1.5 pull back and some with a 2 inch pull back,, I am wondering what they will look like and if anyone has them and likes them. Will we need to change the cables? my dh thinks it will be fine.. hmmm. I am hoping to also put on one of those cool looking chrome speedos that are on the inside of the bars instead of the outer side and I would def have to have risers so that it will not hit the tank... I am addicted,, I cant stop spending money on upgrades, I got to sell off my child I think..
I put 3" with 2" pull back,s on a '03 I used to have .No cable change necessary May have to bend the brake line a bit,but this was on a '03.The throttle cable may have to be put on top of the ignition switch, but I have not seen how the newer models are set up..You will like it and It will give a Dyna look. But beware, the factory riser bolts are"in There" and are a bitch to get out without a lot of muscle.
Never say never, as just about anything is possible with the right fabrication...
It's not 4 inches, but I know that you can put a 1" spacer under the stock "C" riser without any problems..
Guy that added 18 degrees to his rake had to do that to keep the speedo off the tank. A half inch spacer would have worked fine, but he wanted to bring it up a little higher.
He just had a spacer fabricated and plated so it matched the bottom of the stock riser...
spacers, now that makes more sense! I thought you said add another riser to the existing riser .duh on me.I have seen what you are talking about and it did look ok.
I just bought some pullback risers for mine on ebay, and I am waiting for them to get here from California. I moved my gauges to the eyebrow, and I am going to run internal wiring through the handlebars. I hope it turns out ok. I really wanted straight risers, but these were $15 shipped.
