Default Wheres the Cat
Trying to sort out an issue for a friend. He has a 2009 1200 Nightster. Does it have a cat in the headpipes or in the mufflers. He is wanting some slipons for better sound.
If the are in the muffler, will he have to have a tune for the Slipons?

no, I don't belive there's any in the sporty's or dynas.

My 2010 Dyna WideGlide has a cat in the headpipe. I was wondering about his 1200 sporty though.

my 09dyna don't have one. I guess that would depend on which state you live in for epa standards

Pull one of the slip on's and look if the cat is in the muffler then it will be rigth at the inlet and look like a honnycomb. If it's in the head pipes then I would guess they would be by the end of the pipes and still look like a honnycomb.
