Newbie - Hello + questions...
Hello from the beautiful island of Corfu, Greece!
I just registered to the forum, but I have been a regular visitor for quite some time. Too much info here and too many inspirational photos, tips etc.
I have just bought a beautiful, carburated 2006 XL883C in black. The bike is in immaculate condition with only 1000 miles on it (it rested in the owner's garage most of the time). The bike is completely stock, so I have started searching for parts in order to improve looks and performance.
I have some questions on Stage 0.5 upgrade:
a. What air filter should I use? Is there a SE or K/N performance filter that fits the stock bean or should I look aftermarket (I like Joker Machine)?
b. Stage 0.5 includes air filter, exhusts (I am looking for VH Shortshots) and ??? what else??? I know that EFI models need ECM calibration, but what about carburated models?

Welcome, and what you are referring to is commonly known as the stage 1...now I'm not to familiar w the carbd models but I would think that there is a SE stage 1 air cleaner that will fit in the stock cover, and for B- you would need to rejet the carb.
