Default Harley Solo Spring Saddle

I was looking at getting the spring saddle for my iron. Does anyone have Harley's solo spring saddle insatalled? If so, was it able to be done with ECM upgrade to a PCIII or fuelpak?

i wish i had bought that kit. instead i decided to make one. pain in the ***! we relocated my ecm to a small tool bag that was mounted to the swing arm. the harness had to be extended to reach the bag but it got it off the fender. at first we were gonna do springs but i didnt like how high the seat was. now its just gona be mounted down to the frame so its low profile.

it should look ok but i still wish i went with a kit.

I have the Harley springer seat and mounting kit on my forty eight. I really like, it smoothes all but the worst of the bumps from the stock (crappy) suspension. I can't answer the relocation question as that was not a problem on my bike.

I have an 09 Iron and have the same question. I use a V&H Fuelpak and I am wondering if I end up getting the Spring Seat...where the hell will my ECU/pak be going? As far as I can remember, the ECU is hidden under the stock solo seat.

that was an issue with doing mine...but we just put it in a tool bag attached to the swingarm. the pain in the *** part (not for me but for my buddy) was having to extend the wiring harness to reach into the bag. lots of soldering involved.
