Help! Forward controls!!

Can anyone tell me for sure if a set of stock 2009 1200c forward controls will fit on a 2004 XL1200R? The brackets and all.

From my understanding from the parts catalog there are different part number for 06 and later and they have another part number for 04-05. So from the parts catalog it won't fit, but don't hold me to it. I'm just a newbie with a parts catalog just trying to help

It may be more simple than switching to mid controls. Harley makes a seat that sits you farther forward for sportster. I bought one from C&C seats and it moved me at least 1 1/2 - 2 inches forward. Do you know anyone that may have a different style seat that you could try? Seats are easier to replace than controls and if you like to be able to kick back a little, you want forward controls.
