Strange question, I know. But can anyone tell me the overall width from bar-end to bar-end of an XR1200? There are a lot of specifications on the HD website but that doesn't seem to be one of them. I've found one website that lists a width of 36.5" while another lists it as 32".
I have a somewhat narrow gate that leads to my back yard and basement in Boston. And there are some other pipes and things behind the alley until it opens out to more than three feet. While having something wider than the gate is possible, it's less convenient.
So far here I've owned three enduros that are fairly narrow and can hop the curbs, but I'm contemplating an XR1200 as a second bike and want to see if I can get it down the alley without removing the bars.
Stock bars are 31" tip-to-tip. I've gone to a lower, narrower set (HD# 56110-98) that's just under 27". These were stock on '03 Nightsters. I like the handling characteristics better than stock.
