Out of curiosity, are you running 75/90 oil in your primary? It was mentioned in another thread that stators went out prematurely if
using that gear oil. Hmmmm

I wouldn't put much credence in that opinion. While they don't publish the oil viscosity (weight), the MoCo now recommends Formula+ in the primary/tranny and it's a Gear Oil in that same viscosity range.

The viscosity of the oil has nothing to do with stator longevity.
Update to stator install.
all is OK now and back to riding again.
but i used a 30 amp stator from an 07 model.

That's good info. I asked about doing that the last time mine failed and was told it wouldn't fit.
Did you upgrade the regulator to handle the added amps? If not, your regulator is now acting like a fuse. Exceed the 22amp capability of the regulator and it will blow.
