Looks like you have a different style though, so fair enough - BUT I don't presume to make a call on how committed you are to motorocycles, what your experience is, or whether you're a "faker" or not.

Yet you felt the need to post a rant on this topic?

Please explain to me how responding to a post that was directed to me was a rant. Amazingly I was able to do it without using all caps or bold underline font. Wish I could say the same for yours and the OP.

To me this is a discussion. To you, it's apparently a contest. OK, you win. Good?

Looks like you broke your own rule, or added an exception to it. No one forced you to respond. And just because you're quoted doesn't always mean it's directed at you. But even if it was, you could have followed your own rule of..."if I don't like what someone's saying...I simply ignore them." So, you didn't like what KAHAONE said, and still you responded. Hmmm.

a. Who said I didn't like what he's sayin or that he's full of it?

b. IMHO responding to a post addressed directly to me is different than putting out a rant about "Those people who...". But then...my opinion is really all that counts in this case right? Because after all, it's my rule and I can mediate it however I see fit.

c. The fact that you got involved in this specific discussion when it doesn't even pertain to you tells me that you are either looking for an argument or one of these guys is your friend and you think they need help. Which would it be?

I'll bet there are many more car drivers who have nasty things to say about bike riders, and all the idiot things they/we do. And we all see bike riders doing stupid asinine things on a regular basis.
Personally I think that on the whole, bike riders are far more irresponsible than most car drivers.

I just find it funny when I read all the bravado, chest-pumped out, clenched-fist descriptions of "those ******* cagers".
idiots ride bikes too. and refer to people who drive, "cagers" what a gay term. sounds like a lame surfer, "eh, Howley, go back to the mainland"

I will concede that there are a few bikers out there who are jerks, but as many on this thread have observed, the vast majority of those are crotch rockets. It is a rare occasion that I see someone on a Harley being a jerk in traffic.

Need a step ladder to help you get off that high horse you're on?
This was your first post. Where was the post you quoted directed at you?

Apparently you didn't like what they said. Just look at your last line.

So the fact that you posted your so-called "rule of thumb" (which you broke) must've been to climb onto your own high horse and point fingers at those you disagree with.

Another one who thinks this is a competition. No worries mate - you win.

I'm sitting myself in a corner for breaking my own rule. I gave myself 30 minutes for timeout. Good enough for ya?
