Default longer shocks and lowering brackets?

I raised the rear of my N about 2" with ohlins shocks last year. The ride is MUCH better, but now I can't flat foot. Would lowering brackets lower the height while not affecting the ride quality? Who makes lowering brackets? I seem to remember a recent thread where someone complained about theirs bending.

yeah that was me that complained and gave a warning. The thread is below. It could have been a very very dangerous situation had I not noticed it. Thank goodness I tend to look over my bike alot. The brackets i mention in the thread IMO are very dangerous and should not be used. Thankfully I was only out $20. I rode well within the design and recommendations, and they were installed correctly.

The lowering brackets will bring the back end down about and inch. I have had mine on for over 25,000 miles and no problems as of yet. I guess you get what you pay for.

If your 13" shocks have 2" more travel, and you use lowering blocks, don't you risk the tire hitting the inside of the fender. Maybe a better idea to try 12" shocks or a different seat?

the bike was raised over 2", I think they'e actually about 13.5" or close, and the springs are still pretty stiff so I don't think hitting the tire would be any issue. Then again, I'm not sure 1" lowering blocks would make enough of an issue to justify doing anything. I'll try to post a pic of the rear end, but it is significantly higher. Looks don't matter to me so much, but I'd like to be able to get my feet a little flatter on the ground.

from the looks of it, you will have no problem with the fender hiting the tire with the lowering blocks. I can't even fit my hand between my fender and my tire it is soo close and I barely ever bottom out solo.
