Default Fuelpak

I got home today and installed the Fuelpak which has been waiting for me for a week.

I had my 2009 883 bored out to a 1200. I'm not sure what kit exactly was used (I can find out, if it matters). I also have V&H straight shot slip ons. The air cleaner is stock.

I'm not sure which settings to use on the fuelpak. Everything seems to indicate FP-0679 but after setting it, nothing seems different at all.

V&H even told me to use this one (though, I'm not sure if it depends on which 1200 kit I have).

Any suggestions?

Not sure about a Sportster, but I put one on my Dyna, and was told to change to a Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner. (High Intake) No Problems. Noticable power increase from dead stop to hi gear. Mine does a little popping too, but nothing major and was told to expect a little. I'm not an expert, but I think some of it depends on air temp and humidity. I think. That's my story anyway. [;<)

I wanted to buy a new air cleaner, but there's so many options I don't know what to do. :P

I upgraded my '08 Sportster about 3 or 4 weeks ago to black V&H staggered straight shots (quiet baffles), Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather air cleaner, and V&H Fuel Pak. One thing I noticed when programming the Fuel Pak is that there are no options to choose for your air cleaner - it assumes you have a high flow one. That was the main reason I decided to change the air cleaner.

If you're just running slip ons, you may not really need the Fuel Pak until you change out the pipes. Anyway, my setup works great - was really easy to install (plug and play with fuel injection). There is a little crackling on deceleration as mentioned above, and every once in a while it back fires when shifting (only has happened on a long ride, but not around town on short rides), but I guess that's normal even though I could do without it. But I really love the sound of these pipes, and the increase in performance is really noticeable, especially when downshifting and getting on the accelerator ("rolling power").

The filter I chose was the screamin eagle, mainly because it fits under the stock filter cover but the fuelpak seems to work better with a high flow filter
