You may be able to stuff a sweatshirt into it with nothing else in the bag but not a jean jacket. You may be better off rolling your jacket and strapping it to the handlebars old school style.

Ya probably not a jacket. I'll put in 2 pair of gloves, my neck tube and a hat and it's pretty much full.

I have the LaRosa - it's a well made bag and installed pretty easily. I punched a really small hole on the back rear of mine to put a zip tie through to hold it in place better laterally.

I can fit a small pair of gym shoes and a water bottle in it and a t-shirt if I try real hard. That's about it though. I wish it were just a tad bigger, but then I'd probably not like how clunky it looks. I've been considering getting a second one for the other side of the bike, or ditching it completely and going with a removable set like Rog48 has.

I'm new to the site here. I've been looking for a small swing arm bag... Your looks awesome and it looks like your able to keep your passenger peg.
What bag is that? I'd like to get one.
Also do you think or know if one of those bags with the small 1/3 gas can would fit with the passenger peg too?

Thanks
Dan

The La Rosa bag has a stitched leather fold over top, other bags have a one piece design starts from the front and wraps all the way around, then it only needs to be stitched on the ends.

I bought a La Rosa bag last week and it is already showing signs of wear on the flap stitches.

Buy a bag that is made from one piece of leather all the way around.

I have the licks bag, no complaints. But the thing rubs the battery cover like crazy. Wish I would have put some 3m tape, oh well its just paint. Any ideas how to fix the paint?

I like the LaRosa setup that I got for the bike. I had to make a few improvements but well worth it.

Here is a repost from my build thread:

I wanted to put some PVC sheets inside to make sure they keep their shape and do not sag with time and weather exposure.

First attempt to make it like a box failed... doing all those bends with a heat gun and hands.... well it did not go well.

Second attempt was in two parts. Back side with the two sides... that came out nice. Then the front side as one piece. That worked well and it was the approach I finally went with.

Once I knew it was in place and fitting well... it was time to put some threaded rivets to secure it in place.

Leather hole punch and the rivets:

Rivets in place. This should now hold its shape, no matter rain or shine:

Scars from not being careful with the exacto knife...

Now thinking about installing some magnets on the flaps to keep them flat with the bag... either that or some snap buttons... have not decided what approach to take...

Rinse and repeat for the other side...

LaRosa has new bags that now incorporate these internal shells to maintain the shapes of the bags... good improvement... they also came out with metal bracket for better installation.

I wanted bags on both sides and I am a sucker for symmetry, so I installed them just a tad taller so that it cleared the exhaust on one side and looked the same on the other.

wachuko, that looks great. i want to do bags on mine but don't want to lose the ability to carry my lady around. it seems like every bag setup i see eliminated the passenger peg. more research is in order.
