hello there i have an 07 sporty and the manual says shift points are at 15, 25,35 ,45 which are all the speed limits around where i live , so i usually shift like 20,30,40 50 so i am not lugging the engine and it seems to work very well . ride safe and enjoy the bike .
I find I'm 2nd guessing myself a lot right around 55-60 mph. Feels like I need a 6th gear. I always think I'm still in 4th. Not as bad if I get up around 65-70

I've tried to shift into my non-existent 6th gear a few times.
I didn't even know there was a rev limiter until I tried to beat my buddies Ninja from a light. He was still in first gear and my CD was skipping.

I do this a lot. I don't like the sound my bike makes above 60.
