So I did a search and now I just seem more confused. Today I was going to go out for a ride and noticed that my front tire was low...no biggie I thought just ride down to the store and put some air in it. Thats when I realized there was some type of nail in it. The tire wouldn't even take any air...so last resort I thought I would put in some fix-a-flat so I could at least get it home..hmmm it didn't work either. At this point I'm pissed, said screw it I'll just ride it home (I was less than a mile from home). So what are my options? I have a 06 883C..I think it's tubeless..I'm a chick and don't mind doing some of the work myself...if it's possible...thanks guys for the help.
I think, if you have spokes, its got a tube.
If you have mag wheels, you likely have a tubeless tire and that can be plugged.
Fix a flat may not work on bad holes in tubes, as they can rip into a big hole, but sometimes it works.
I once rode home 100 miles with a flat front tire, pouring rain, after drinking a bottle of Captain Morgan rum, someone stabbed the front tire of my low rider custom after I objected to their poor choice of music.
Since the stab was on the side, the fix a flat I had only lasted about 1 mile....
I made it without crashing, at speed was ok, but braking was interesting....
In the old days, I used to carry a patch kit, tire irons and a bike pump, and would patch a flat anyplace. Bikes had center stands....
