Default Tire help

ok so I'm a newer Harley owner/rider and just bought my first new rear tire since buying by bike. I purchased a tubeless Dunlop tire since that was tire that was on it previously. Any the shop I took it to could not get the tire to bead on properly so after numerous attempts and them having my bike for a week I finally picked it up today. The thing is in order to get the tire to bead they put a tube in the tire in order to get the bead to seat. My question is the tire safe to ride on? I rode it about 30 miles today without any issues. Should I be worried

Spoked or solid wheels?

Need a tube for spoked wheels but a tube won't bother a solid wheel.
Wonder why the shop had so much trouble?

You should be OK to ride it.

If the bead is seated, you should be OK to ride. It's likely that the tire needed a tube in the first place.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Most modern bike tyres are suitable for tubeless use and use with a tube. From past personal experience I suspect that tyre has been badly stored at some time, so the edges of the tyres were out of shape. Some tyres come with cardboard packaging, so they keep the correct shape while in storage. Many years ago my local dealer gave up with a badly stored tyre and replaced with the exact same brand and type, but a correctly stored one, which popped on the rim in a jiffy.

You will be fine on your tyre. The only negative is if you get a puncture you will have to repair the tube as well as the tyre.

first did you buy the tire at the same place? Second they should have known if your wheel was tubeless or tube type.A week for a 1/2 hour job, I would never go back to them. Sounds like they f---ed something up.
